Dr. Lee Kamelchuk is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Maxillofacial Surgery Center of Huntsville in Huntsville, Alabama. He holds both Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Education and Oral Surgery Training
Originally from Alberta, Canada, Dr. Kamelchuk earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1986 from the University of Alberta. He continued his education at the university’s Mike Petryk School of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1990.
Dr. Kamelchuk then moved to Alabama and completed a hospital dentistry general practice residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1991.
He remained at UAB, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree through the UAB Heersink School of Medicine and completed advanced training through the UAB Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program in 1997.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Experience
Dr. Kamelchuk moved to Huntsville in 1997 and practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. His areas of care include dental implants, wisdom tooth removal, bone grafting, tooth extractions, corrective jaw surgery, and other surgical conditions involving the mouth, jaws, and facial structures.
He is also an active staff member at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville.

Dr. Kamelchuk is board certified and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS). He is also a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS).
